A high-energy reggae & dancehall remix mixtape fused with jungle and drum & bass rhythms: the first chapter of the MAD Remix series.
Vol. 1 is the starting point of the MAD Remix series: the idea was to test whether the dancefloor energy of dancehall and up-tempo reggae could coexist with the speed and break structure of jungle and drum & bass, two scenes that rarely meet in the same set.
The mixtape alternates purely dancehall moments with sections where the beat breaks into jungle patterns, without losing the continuity of the groove: the goal is a listen that never stops, moving from one genre to the next without a break in continuity.
The good response to this first volume led directly to Vol. 2, shifting the focus from the more energetic tracks to love songs, to explore the same genre crossover from a more melodic angle.
