Lab — Demos & Prototypes
Various technical experiments and proofs of concept: the space where ideas get tested before becoming (or not becoming) a real project.
Not every project is born with the goal of being published as a finished product. Lab is the section that gathers the smaller experiments: technical checks, proofs of concept, ideas tested quickly to see whether they deserve to be developed — or whether they're better let go.
What ends up here
These are the things that start from an «I wonder if this is doable»: a rendering trick to try, a new API to poke at, an interaction idea thrown together in half a day to see if it holds. None of these fragments, on its own, justifies a dedicated page; together, though, they're the raw material everything else comes out of. The Lab is the place where an idea is cheap: you try it, and it either grows or dies, without the weight of having to see it through no matter what.
Real projects were born here
Some of these experiments became projects in their own right. The navigable 3D room started as a WebGL test in the Lab before becoming the bench where the portal's games were shaped. Ykan began the same way: a small kanban thrown together for a practical need, then grown into an app, an MCP and a page of its own. The distance between «technical note» and «project» is sometimes just a matter of how far the experiment gets.
Why make it public
This page exists mostly for a reason of honesty: behind every published project there are more attempts that never make it all the way, and showing that is truer than pretending everything worked on the first try. A portfolio usually tells only the wins; the Lab tells the process — which is also made of interrupted trials, dead ends and shelved ideas. That's where the work actually happens, long before anything is ready to be shown.
